Funny thing about stripes and decals. I think it's what you become familiar with and eventually associate with the car. I wonder if at the time the 2002 Turbo was released the stickers looked quite gauche but now look right at home on that car. Bit like a Porsche Carrera; the early models look right with the large script along the bottom of the doors but it just seems to look pretentious on a modern Porsche.

So... Saturday I was over at the BMW Welt for the DTM 2013 show and look what I saw in the underground parking garage! Sometimes I can not believe my luck!!

I can tell you this car IS a 135i with the 1M body parts. I think the dead giveaway is the 135i mirrors and the DCT trans!

And the white car had a VO friend too...

And also not featuring the 1M dashboard and alcantara with red stitching ...and the license plate says M1 135.

But to know for sure what you're actually dealing with when looking from outside: check for the diff. Without that (dog's) dangly bit hanging between the wheels, it ain't no 1M 1er.

The car has Maryland tags. Anyone on here? Also, I am unsure if its a real 1M.
