Straight Pipes/ Muffler Deletes on a 128i?
I was just wondering if anyone has ever had straight pipes on their 128i. I am thinking about doing it, and am wondering what it would sound like. I don't know much about exhausts, but are a muffler delete and straight pipes the same thing? Please leave me your opinions! Thanks

i have a custom system that I bought from user Pushkin, look up his video's
its a straight pipe into a 135i muffler. Delicious sound, would not say its too loud, maybe just right. I love how the actuator that is plugged in the Golf tee mod still works and makes it tame at low rpm an HWY cruising

Can you post a video of what your car sounds like please?!! I watched his video, but he also has many other mods. I would like to know what it would sound like on a stock 128i. Thanks you!!

Thank you man, maybe rev it up to like 7k and hold it for about 30 seconds? Just kidding around 4-5 would be perfect!! Again, I appreciate it. I don't mind the cabin noise, I just would like to hear how it would sound from the outside.

easiest is probably what i've stumbled upon translating German forums.
n55 midpipe & 135i stock muffler. All used. probably $300+ $200 Find an exhaust shop and have them cut the ends at the manifold/headers on n55 midpipe and weld something that will fit 128i diameter. Materials + labour I think exhaust suppliers and other mfg of resonators have tubing ends that should fit 128i manifolds. I will have the measurement soon, just need to get to my stored sock exhaust to measure. Most expensive is to get a 135i muffler and have a tuner custom build exhaust. I think n54 muffler is quieter than n55 according to crude German translation

This makes me pretty excited for my headers, as they are both creating a real header setup, deleting a primary cat instead of a secondary cat, and will be heat coated.
