don't scrub it with hard bristles like someone mentioned earlier, that'll just make your carpet all fuzzy in that spot, go with the wet vac

I don't think I need to give you any advice on how to take care of the damage. However I do have some advice regarding your GF. You need to be very mad at her and lead to a big fight. After that, you two have a make up session and followed with a make up sex. It is the best.

Yeah, the scratch is outside so it is more visible. Anyway, to get back at her, tell her no nookie for one month.

or just get the cover steam cleaned like i had to a couple of months ago. instant fuss free fix.

the scratch can also be fixed by a high quality repair shop. will need to leave your car with them though.

remember your precious girlfriend did not mean to scratch your car. it was an accident. im sure she has apologised. yes?

take care. all the best.

I know how you feel Speedy. My girl spilled a full Monster energy drink all over the front passenger carpet and seat when the car was only two weeks old. I wanted to wring her neck.
Instead, I payed for a carpet shampoo and detail. No real harm done in hindsight.
After that happened I tend to carry anything that she can spill or anything that can ding the car for her. She's a bit clumsy, you should see her car.

Nobody eats or smokes in my car. Not even me and I'm a smoker.

All you guys who say just fix it can shut the hell up!!! Why should he have to fix it, if due care was exercised by her he would have nothing to fix. Some people just don’t have any respect for other peoples things. Are they just things yes, but why should they be abused.

Here is a little story, I bought a brand new sports car, about $65,000, it is a toy just to be enjoyed. Lives in the garage and gets parked to avoid dings (hell I have even parked rental car so they wouldn’t get dings, that’s how f-ed up I am). So my GF and I went to a little shop that has a parking lot with about 7 spaces, so I park in the last space on the end and back in (no real reason it was just easier to back in). So swings her door open to get out and I hear the most gut wrenching noise. My (very expensive) light weight door bouncing off of a f*cking steel post filled with concrete (protecting a water main or something). I asked (probably in an annoyed, shocked tone) if I heard what I thought I heard...long story short she got mad at me for “sounding like her dad” WTF!!! All she had to do was look out the window and she would have seen the YELLOW POST!!!

I have also had a run in with products spilled in my SUV, weather tech mat can save a relationship. After this stuff happened I vented to myself by writing the following.

Remember no matter what happens it is always your fault, there is something you could have done to prevent it.

1. Open car doors, so they don’t bounce your doors off of stuff.
2. Check the locks
3. Create and maintain a place for keys
4. Wash/maintain the vehicles, so they don’t scratch them

Remember there are many things that they don’t care about that you do. It is your job to make it more difficult for them to ruin the stuff you care about. (This I’m sure goes both ways)
1. Get Tivo/DVR, that way you don’t have to get up set about missing something, just press pause let her talk and then get back to the game
2. When traveling make sure hair goop and other leaky/messy bottles are in zip lock bags, I can not stress this enough people, if there is to be an elevation change, squeeze some of the air out of the bottle. A good trip depends on it.

Now your 3 will be just that much more special and unique because of that laundry detergent spill j./k, really like the others have said, there are worse things in life than this. Just scrub it out over and over til the soap has been compeltely absorbed, using warm water preferrably
