BMW V1 PSW Shift Light Issue
Hi,
New to the forum so please go easy. Installed a BMW V1 Performance Steering Wheel on my 2010 135i DCT. All functions work except the Shift Lights. Cannot get the setting with the correction factor to work. Is there any thing other than a power related problem that I could look at. Open to all suggestions. Thanks |

The control box behind the glovebox is prob messed up. I know when mine gets hot, the whole thing shuts down. Granted, I have the V2. I don't think I've seen another E82 with one though.

Hi Downeaster1
Thanks for the feedback. As I said, everything seems to work perfectly with exception to the shift lights. On start-up, the V1 goes through its initialization and the lights do work. However, I cannot get the lights to correspond to the correction factor setting. It appears as though the revs read by the V1 are out by a factor of ten. Thus, if the shift lights are set to 1000 RPM, and reved, it will only work when the RPM goes to 10 000. I need to find out how to do this on the V1. Regards, Kevin PS: How difficult was the E90 M3 Cluster to Retrofit - In terms of wiring and coding. |
