That's a little extreme maxnix. I agree on the reducing visibility of your lights not being the best thing for you, but I think smoked tails can look good on some cars in some colors. To each their own, pretty much.
The rice comment was a little harsh. It's not like he's slapping on a roll call of a bunch of stickers down the side of his door or throwing on a huge GT wing for no reason. |

Valid points. I see rice more as tasteless mods, a more subjective view I suppose. Yours is pretty cut and dry. Not saying its wrong, it actually makes more sense. Still though, I guess I'm a ricer because I don't mind his smoked tails one bit.

I wouldn't say it looks horrible, but I don't think it has the same visual appeal that it might on a black (or dark colored) car. It is just a photochop though, maybe the film he has in mind isn't that black?

I might switch to a lighter tint, but I won't know what either of them look like, or how they affect the light output until I get to the vinyl shop and test mount them on a light

On Friday I finally picked up the 135i Here's a few pics from that day: On Saturday and Sunday we attempted to get the KW V1s and UUCs installed at my friends shop. We got the V1s installed but the UUC front wouldn't fit without rubbing (didn't come with an adjustable endlink ), and we didn't have time to drop the subframe for the rear. One place I read said the front UUCs don't need a new endlink, but now it seems the kit is to come with one, which I didn't get. I'll have to look more into the issue before I tackle the sway situation again. Anyways, here's a few pics from Saturday / Sunday: Here's the before and after of the suspension height Front: Rear: I also through on the black grilles while doing the suspension: All said and done this weekend: Tomorrow is tinting / vinyl work More photos available on my site. So far so good. Too bad the weather has been crap here the last few days. Then again love photos you can get on rainy days. Good luck with tour rides, there are plenty 1ers here in SD.

Has anyone been able to get ahold of Alan at **********s recently? I tried contacting him to see what I'm supposed to do about the UUC front sway not fitting, but I haven't heard back

Got a quote to fix the dents in the roof, by the antenna (left by the shop that did the roof vinyl, although they deny it up and down): $1,058

We are very specific with QC and what we send out and I'm positive that if that item left **********s it wouldn't leave with scratches. Since it did come from a supplier we didn't get the final QC and I apologize on behalf of them and **********s. Call me directly and let's find a resolution to this. It looks like you're local too so I want to make sure we take good care of you. Kevin |

Got ahold of the boss of the guy that did my vinyl roof and talked to him about all the dents that surround the antenna after the work. Unlike the guy that did the work, he was much more realistic about it being possible his guy caused the dents (even though the antenna is only double sided taped on).

Got the rest of the vinyl work done today; mirror caps and tails done. Here's a few photos, more on my site (as usual): I was concerned about the tail tint reducing visibility too much, but it looks pretty bright still: |
