Blue Water - How easy to keep clean?
Hi everyone,
I have a BSM with terra interior on order, but I've been really impressed by some of the Blue Water photos I've been seeing online and am considering a change. A few questions first: 1) While obviously easier to keep looking clean than black (what isn't), how good does the Blue Water do at looking clean for a while after a wash? 2) Is the Blue Water color metallic? 3) Does anyone out there have photos of Blue Water with the terra interior (I *really* like the terra interior color). I'm hesitant to change to a color I've never seen in person, but black cars are a dime a dozens (esp BMW's) and, coming from a 330I color I don't see coming and going (Topaz Blue), I thought I would shake things up here. Thanks in advance! |

Garris,
1) Blue water is very easy to keep looking clean a little dust or dirt do not stand out one bit. It is a different animal when clean though, I think black looks beautiful when clean but it is a PITA to keep that way. Blue water looks consistently wonderful but doesn't have that same effect as black. 2) You better believe that Blue Water is Metallic. Get up close in the sun and it looks like it is covered in little diamonds. 3) I ordered my car without even a photo of what it would look like to go on. For me it was something unique that I didn't see myself grow tired of nor did it need to be cleaned every other day. Part of me says to scare you away so there will be less BWM 135Is in the world but my nicer side says to strongly suggest it because it is a gorgeous color I will tell you one thing, I saw a Blue water 135 Vert with the coral interior and black top and almost had to cry....it looked terrible.

It is easy to keep clean. However, due to the light color, it can make brake dust appear more prevelant.
I love the color, it's very dynamic, sometimes looking very silver, and very blue at others.

On the upside, the standard 135i rims look really easy to clean, much more so than the M-spoke wheels on my '01 330I I'd bet... Quote:
No one will ever know another Blue Water is out there... |
