What lights for my E82?

Looking at getting new headlights and tail lights for my e82(LeMans blue) but really not sure what, any recommendations? Was thinking about getting rears slightly smoked like the sport plus models but not sure if it'll look good or not. Pics would help too!

If you have got halogens, retrofit xenons - you need to get new LED tailights as well.

Blacklines are very nice.

+1 on the blacklines. OP, I also have LeMans Blue like you plus blacklines and I think it looks awesome. Sorry, no pics of the rear right now... will try to take some soon.

There are lots of E82s with blacklines on the internet if you look.

Yes. Retrofits are the best way to go. A performing projector with a clear lens will outshine any stock BMW on the road today, except for laser-lights

That would be good if you could Tried to find on google but can't find a pic of them on a blue coupe. Are these just direct replacement? and anyone know where I can buy these?

Thanks guys

Found these LeMans Blue pics for you. Try Schmiedmann to purchase. They are a direct replacement for my 135i, not sure about your 120d.

Got to be one of the best movie scenes!

Thanks for the help guys, love the look of these. I've got the 2012 with halogens, these look like they'd just be direct replacement am I right?

p.s just found the electric backrest width buttons on my seat last night, didn't know about these, has to be one of my favourite buttons now!

Pre-LCI E82's with halogens had LED tails. Halogen LCI cars lost this feature so there are two versions - "LOW" for halogens and "HIGH" for xenons.

On halogen-equipped cars, the LED bars are fake. You can make them work if you do some magic with the wires (there's a DIY floating around), but the brake lights won't work. Instead, the LED bars will work as brake lights as well as "normal" running lights.

I don't have xenons unfortunately so would it just be a hassle if I got the blackline lights?

Nope. They are plug and almost play. Do some forum research in the 128i or DIY sub-forum. It literally is a 2 minute process to make them plug and play. I did it on mine, you can most definitely do it on yours bruh.

Since your car did not come with the Xenons, the blacklines will NOT light up like those shown in the pics, the bulbs will ALSO light up at the same time with the LEDs. Unfortunately I found out about this too late but I still kept the Blacklines.

GOod luck!

Hmm?

Guys you don't need any footwell module or wiring harness for LCI halogen cars.. I'ts as simple as tapping in one extra wire to power the LED and pulling out the current running light wire.
As explained many many times, the LCI halogen cars are MISSING that wire that powers the LED running lights, all you need to do is buy a wire, tap it in from another power source nearby (e.g. license plate lights) and plug it into the loom/socket where the wire was missing, then remove the wire that powers the EXISTING running light. When this is done, the LED bar will light up whenever the license plate lights are on (which is always), and brake lights will work sufficiently. The inner brake light will not light up, the outer brake light will light up, the 3rd brake light will light up and it's far enough for people to tell you're braking.

I am confused.
