N55 hit 60k miles and having some concerns.

So recently I hit 60k miles on my N55 everything some peachy however I noticed it has burned 3/4 of a quart of oil within the last 5500 miles and a noise has started around the left side of the engine(valvetronic motor??) Seems like the trouble free honeymoon has come to an end.

Sound is your wastegate solenoid. I have the same thing at 55k

Can confirm. Just replace boost solenoid and now hum is gone and car pulls stronger. It’s a gradual wear item and you don’t get codes. Around $150 part at ECS

Also, I have about the same number of miles on a '13 N55 - I just replaced the oil fill cap. I noticed a lower than Max reading and then checked the cap, its gasket had gone kaput, it had sludge around the edges on on the surface of the plastic engine cover. Once I replaced it, "everythins sheesa fine!!"

My car has sounded like that for well over 30k kms lol. Looks like my Visa is going to rack up some bills now.

on the other topic...3/4 quart of oil in 5500 miles is perfectly fine, unless you have spotted a specific leak.

Yeah i did several inspections and found no signs of leaking.
