2005 130i M CHeck engine light

Hi,

I have a 2005 130i m that has orange check engine light, come on for a few days then goes off by itself. Car is running fine and still pulls perfectly. Have the codes read :

Codes not present:

2a98 crankshaft - inlet camshaft (value outside range)

2a99 crankshaft - exhaust camshaft (value outside range)

2a82- vanos inlet.

Someone had mentioned vanos solenoid may need cleaning? Anyone had any experience of this and an idea of cost? Did it resolve the issue?.


Any advice greatly appreciated.

Check the e90post n52 forums. Some 330i there may have had similar errors
