Second coat of Z5 went on today..

The second coat looks even better than the first. Next will be a coat of Z6, then a coat (or two) of Z2 and Z6 again to finish it off. You know you got shine when you can see my house in the door handle! Here's a quick phone pic of the results:

So if you wait a few days to put on a second coat do you have to clay the car again before the second coat?

No, not at all. You shouldn't have to clay the car more than once per year, maybe twice if your paint appears to be contaminating quickly. But once you clay it and seal the paint, if you keep it sealed and reseal maybe once a month you should be good for once a year claying.

Its cold today; my hands are freezing cleaning the car. Silver car sucks when waxing, hard to see.

Black looks sweet when its almost like a mirror in your shots.

Ahh ok but how do you know if there's no dust on the surface that might scratch the car before your second coat?

Once again, you're a nut blackjackmulligan! Haha. Looking good. I used z8 and really can't tell the difference from z6. I should do half the car just to see a comparison.

If you've driven the car at all, or had it outside and not garaged between coats then it's very important that you wash the car before applying another coat because of the possibility of dirt scratching it (claying again isn't necessary). I had my car in the garage and didn't drive it between coats so I didn't need to worry about that.

Yes, I have COCD (car obsessive compulsive disorder-self diagnosed). It sucks.

I don't buy it, that the Z8 spray will make that much of a difference. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Zaino has a great product but an even better marketing plan.....it's like, if you want great shine buy Z6 but WAIT! If you want great great great shine buy Z8!! Eh, whatever. The Z6 works fine for me.
