Helped a friend change his clutch, slave, clutch hose and clean/adjust his pivot bearings on his 04 R1150GS. Not bad, took 7 hours. His clutch disc was fried, and the pressure plate was definitely overheated at some point.

Only hiccough was the bleeder screw for the slave was stripped, so we split the bleeder and force bled it.

Wait, you mean Bimmer not Beemer?

Find a sloped parking lot or driveway.

Is it really just spray on, let sit, then spray off?

Yup. It works even better with a high pressure sprayer.

In theory you spray on and power wash off.

I still like to take a good brush and clean the entire barrel. My wheels are a bit of a pain to clean so I take my time and take a couple steps to do it. The ceramic coating helps but I like to get each detail on them.

Well then it's no better than anything else I use.
If it was a low pressure wash off, then I'm impressed. Any scrubbing, meh. Doesn't make things easier. Any cheap degreaser does the same from what I've used.
There's an eagle one cleaner that is spray on wash off that works well. But wash +scrub is the cheapest

You say that until you try it. If your wheels are generally pristine, any spray cleaner is fine, but if you neglect them, this works better. I have tried at least a dozen different cleaners on brake dust heavy wheels, this works better than any other.

Exactly.. if the buildup is a lot you need something strong.

If I had time to wash all my cars each and every week most likely a spray down and power wash would take care of it.

But this one sometimes sees a wash at three week intervals and the brake pad buildup by then is pretty hefty.

OMG you guys are so mean to your cars.
I wash weekly, or really try to. That's what my Fridays generally consist of, car cleaning.

Shame on you.

Tried to drive it for the first time in 3 weeks, but there was too much traffic. I covered some good mileage but was frustrated by other drivers and getting stuck at 8-10 red lights in a row at one point.

Once I got home I fixed my tow hook license plate mount which became loose and cleaned up the paint on the trunk lid behind the rear plate.

Me too. I used to wash my E46 330i almost every week. It was a labor of love, but I also put 50k miles on that car in just a few short years. The fact that my 135i just sits in the garage untouched on the charger for weeks on end now is a nice trade off. It doesn't get very dirty this way. Still, I'd love wash my cars more often and spend time in the garage.

Geeze.
You're worse than those other two. Drive the damn car. It's loosing the same value whether you do or not so make it worth it.

But then again maybe me driving and spending so much time with my car is why I live pretty stress free. I drive because I truly enjoy it. It's relaxing for me. It's entertainment for me. It's not something I do because I don't want to. Spending a day at work my only joy is looking forward to it being over and the drive home in a car I truly love.

If you have lost that same feeling do me this favor,
the next nice weekend you have (and if it's not free make it so) just pick a direction and drive. No destination in mind. Just go. See something interesting in the distance, go to it. Just enjoy freedom and lack of responsibility for one day.
You old farts need it.

Lol easy with that old farts thing

I wash them and get out.. did a 1300+ cruise couple weeks ago to Atlanta in the M2 for the BMWCCA Corral up there.

But I had, up until last week, 5 cars at home. I am slowly unloading them now.

If I were to wash cars weekly at a minimum three that get used would tie one full day of the weekend. Can't half ass the wash, I take my time and it's 2-3 hours each car.

But the weather is great lately so I agree on getting out and driving
