Tints in PA
My 135i is being shipped as I write and I'm considering tinting the windows first thing when I get it.. I don't want anything too dark, I'm thinking of 50% or 35% all around (except for the front because I actually want to see where I'm going). Unless I can also tint my front windows, I'd rather not tint at all..
As I have never tinted my previous cars, I was wondering how much crap I'd get from the cops.. I'll be living in the Harrisburg area.. Also, whats a good place to get it tinted? |

Interesting to meet another upcoming 1er in Harrisburg, Im in Enola, work in Camp Hill. Ive had work done at Creative Car tunes in camp hill before, decent guys, theyll do tint for ya. Its not a bimmer specific shop thou so..Ive taken my car to a shop in west chester now for my 1er due to it being a BMW specific shop, thats what I really want for a car more expensive like this, but give CCT a looksee and tell em Zack sent you

I do not, never once had a car tinted, im too freaked about it peeling or gettin fucked up when i wash the car or detail my windows (which im very OCD about).
They have a notice up in CCT that says I think the legal max tint in PA is 65% or something, anything less will get u a ticket if someone catches u. Supposedly cops carry around things that measure your tint, if they measure it and its too much, u get a ticketed fine and report to a court to show youve removed the tint. |

There's no actual set rule for the tint in PA, be that bad or good.
The good is, if you're not a douche, and stay away from the ticket-central areas, you'lll have nothing to worry about and get a deep tint. The bad is, if you're a douche, or go in the wrong areas, they can give you hell for nothing. |
