For that price at our dealer you could have the suspension kit (parts & labor) installed, BMW Performance exhaust installed (parts & labor), the M3 swaybar installed (parts and labor), AND have left overs to spend on your hotel room and gas to get down here... wait how did I get on the subject of driving down to ATL?? LOL

UPDATE: I just got a call from the dealer. They just realized that on the car that I ordered, the only difference between what I got and the PS is just the springs. Everything else is the same. He said that this is because of the M sport package although it's not specified on the web site or the specs.
After reading everything here it comes as a surprise but it does save me some money. I elected not to change the springs for now. I can always change them later if it seems necessary.

We definitely need Dan to confirm this because on older model years the shocks and springs on the PS were completely different to the stock m sport suspension.

Sounds like your dealer needs to re-investigate and find the proper answer. It really BUGS ME when dealerships give out poor information.
The BMW PS was not made into the production M Package vehicles, which is why BMW offers it for all models, including those with M Package. To verify my insanity on the subject, I went into a 135i N55 w/ M package. The part #'s for the struts are 31316786023 and 31316786024 which are completely different from the strut part #'s found in the BMW PS. Additionally, no 135i comes from the factory with BMW Z8 bump stops. The BMW Performance Suspension uses the BMW E52 Z8 bump stops on both the front and the rear. Information overload end.

The tech saw sport suspension, and though he was slick and knew the answers.. ... what an idiot... or the fact that all the parts are the same color and he was expecting something like the yellow from the perf. Brakes

I sent a link to this thread to my salesman. Maybe I can get this figured out.

I finally got it installed by a local shop that works on a lot of BMWs. The dealer was never able to figure it out.
I only have about 1/2 hour on it so far but I like it a LOT. I agree with whoever said that the car should have come this way. It's just more fun to drive. I was surprised to see that although it only lowered it about 1cm the car looks different... better. Even my wife noticed it. She thought the wheels were bigger. I plan on a long drive today through some back roads to test it out. BTW, I also had the M3 front sway bar mounts and bushings installed.
