widebody hatch kit
I was just going through the pictures from my last japan trip and came across these. They were taken at the Osaka Auto Messe which was around mid Feb, 2009.
There were some crazy kitted out cars there but this was the only 1 series. Sitting near it were two widebody 335's, one pink and the other green.

I like the wider wells - we desperately need those - but screw-on panels with exposed screws???? They have got to be kidding.
That poor 3 looks like the Hello Kitty car.

Done right Blister Kits can look bad ass
http://www.bimmer.ru/news/2009/09/03...0%9D-body-kit/ http://www.dailycarsnews.com/newsgal...8626-pic2.html The exposed panel and rivets is part of the look. With the right color scheme and mods, could look good on an E82 |

I was about to say that it's very common in the 240SX world!

Ok so I'm not a fan of the exposed screws but I do like the idea. I mean it would make building a wide body 1er so much easier wouldn't it, especially at the rear where you could have these 'stick on' panels moulded to the stock fenders rather than cutting shhht up. Itd also mean that your shop could return your car to stock with just a little paint really. I'd like to see something for the coupe, perhaps without the fins, just subtle extensions of the OE fenders/bumpers/skirts.
