VSRF N55 DP - Anyone tried it?

I know a lot of you have the VSRF N54 DPs, but I don't see anyone so far having the N55 ones. The price is incredibly, cheaper than what I'm even seeing on eBay with Megan Racing ones. I wasn't thinking about getting a DP anytime soon but seeing the $269 price point it sure is tempting.. Especially since it was cold earlier this week and I tested out map2 without a DP.. and realized what I'm missing haha.

Don't run map two for long without a dp. I have the vrsf dp for n55. Not much to say except great customer service shipping was fast fitment was on point and the performance increase was deff noticeable and felt good. I have their Fmic also and pretty happy with that. Would buy from them again. That price you mentioned is cheaper than what I paid. Mine were 299.

Yeah I definitely don't plan on running it for very long, it was just a test and then I switched back to map 5.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with it though! I may order it here soon.. How's the sound? Did you mate it up to the stock axle-back? That's what I'd be doing..

Here you go. The first video is a cold start after the dp install and the second is a warm start with revs. Everything else is stock mid pipes and exhaust. The 3rd video is the same except I did some driving and pulls but still stock exhaust an downpipes. The last one is after I installed my dinan exhaust still stick mids though and the downpipes of course. I need to make a vid driving with it on too but I shattered the heel of my foot the day after I made the last vid an can't drive right now lol. Hope this gives ya a good idea of what you're looking for. Cold start is very obnoxious but it quiets down quick an it makes it kinda raspy with the stock exhaust. Especially when you get on it. That's really the reason I wound up changing the stock exhaust. I was ok with the sound of it til I installed the DOwnpipe. Didn't care for the raspy ness. Some people like it I didn't care for it.

Awesome, thanks! Sounds pretty raspy. I think down the road I'll invest in a berk street axle-back. I'm pretty glad the N55s have non-catted midpipes so we don't have to waste our money on those.

How was the VSRF FMIC fitment for you? Direct fit?

Plus 1 for non catted mid pipes. Helps it sound a lot better my buddy with an n54 always says how my car sounds so much nicer than his. He wants to trade me mids so bad lol. I'm like nope haha. Ya with the dinan on its only raspy on cold start for a few seconds and then maybe on wot but its hard to hear cuz everything else is loud hash but normal driving the new exhaust eliminated the rasp. Before the downpipe you could not hear the turbo whistle through the exhaust. It made that very pronounced also.

Let us know how you like it. I'm deciding between this one or the BMS one which costs a little bit more. If there's not much difference then I'll probably go for the VRSF one.

Will do.

It looks like they said the shipper made a mistake and they sent me the N54 downpipes but they're closed until the 10th so I won't get the correct ones for awhile.. *sigh* Was totally going to install them this Saturday.

Haha their shippers been messing up lately. They sent me a 7inch Fmic and I ordered a 5 inch but hey I wasn't complaining.

I dunno but everyone with N54s seem to have great success with them.

Just had mine installed last weekend by Dr Euro (Terry's recommendation) and he said that the flange was too thick and that caused the bolt not to be able to fit in the clamp for tightening. I got under the car and verified this as well. I had to go to home depot and get a 1/2 inch longer bolt and then all was well. No one else had this issue?

Geez.. that's not good to hear. I wonder if there's some specs they could send so we can all compare the finalized product when we receive it with the specs to make sure we don't have to send it in for a replacement before we put it on our cars.

Sorry about that, we sent you a return label earlier this week but I'll go ahead and send another one since it seems you may not have received it.

The flange is CNC'd so there is little to no variance between them. I didn't have this issue on our first few that we installed but it could certainly have been an issue with that individual unit.

PM me your order number & I'll be happy to reimburse you for the trouble. With your order number I can also check the batches to ensure this was an isolated incident.

Just to clarify, all you needed was a longer bolt for the v-band clamp assembly correct?

So I went to do the install today and the SAME thing happened to me.. Grrr. And I don't have time to go to Home Depot today.. I guess I'll go & get one from Home Depot tomorrow. Is there a specific size you got or did you just bring the bolt in & found one that was the same?

How did the install and fitment turn out besides having the bolt length issue?
