JB4 issues, No Codes
A little background on my car, hit 50k miles last year took it to BMW had it walnut blasted and plugs changed under warranty. Uninstalled the JB4 at about 48k miles and the car was running great. Now 6 months later with 65k miles the car its still running great, I installed the JB4 a few days ago and I'm really confused on what the heck is going on with this thing. With it on Map0 it runs just fine, switch it to Map1 and the car boosts hard randomly at half throttle and at WOT it stuggles to get to 13psi. It stutters and bounces between 9-13psi, and the best part is its not getting any codes. Haven't had a chance to log it yet but any input would be amazing right now.

Load the latest firmware and try again. If it still happens, log it.
Make sure you are running the correct firmware for your engine as well.

Make sure the auto code clearing is off as well. Upgrade to ISO firmware if you haven't already and confirm the diodes are correctly cut.

Oh got ya. I was telling you about ISO assuming you had a G5 board. Honestly I'd pay the $150 to upgrade it to G5. You won't be sorry. It's a huge improvement and there have been tons of breakthroughs on the N54 platform since BMS stopped development of the G4 boards. Methanol injection improvements, isolated boost control, back end flash support, large turbo support, timing readings on all 6 cylinders, there's probably tons more but that's what comes to mind right now.

it sounds like something isn't quite right with the install. maybe a poor or loose connection....... i'd double check everything.

I think that is the only workaround right now. I had to do that with a charge Pipe
