Painted 1M Wheels (on BSM) - Looking for Honest Opinions

Ok, so I got my wheels back today. I think they look great!

I also think that this color would look even BETTER on a VO, because of what the paint shop owner called paint "flop"; where the color changes depending on light. For this reason, I think that it would perfectly match what the VO personifies; a transformation of personality in direct sunlight (or as the owner called it "horrible flop"; referring to how hard it would be to match, I'm sure).

I took a picture of the color closer up, and it displays this flop really well. In the shade, the wheels are....OMG...I think they looks SO amazing! Both rustyracer and I stopped mid-sentence and said "wow"! I'm still getting used to the flop...but then again, it's only been an hour

What are your thoughts?

This picture displays the "paint flop", that you can see in direct sunlight:

Looks so amazing in person. And the paint work is perfect. I still can't believe how great it looks!

You asked for an honest opinion so here is mine: the wheels overall look nice, but I don't like the entire picture. BSM is pretty dark as it is, so darkening the color of the wheels just gives the car that "murdered" look which is not exactly what I believe the 1M is all about; also, this is a highly played out look.

I actually think the contrast of the silverish stock wheel color with the black paint looks great.

Raise your car!!!

I'm in agreement with ^^^^ 1SerieStud, I like more of a contrast on BSM personally.

The paint work on the wheel does look good.

disagreed. I would've never thought it could look this awesome. Im not a BSM at all, but after seeing this combo, you changed my mind! the silver black contrast > black on black

the paint job on the wheels looks really nice and clean. I like the "flop" of the color under different light.

as an owner of a BSM 1M however, I will say that I prefer the contrast of the stock wheels as opposed to this all black look...I think those same wheels would look better blacked out on a VO or AW....but for BSM the stock color is perfect to me...

that being said...if you lower your car...it will look sooo sexy

As good as it looks, I too prefer the contrast of the stock wheels to the dark ones, that's MHO.

Same here... wheels do look good.. but I like for the wheels to contrast... love the stock wheels on BSM.. and I went with hyper silver... which should be even lighter in color than the painted wheels here.. Those would look fantastic on VO... and probably better on white as well. From the closeup photo.. looks like a great job with the paint on the wheels... and they probably look better in person than in photos.

I think the black on black look works. I had a BSM 135i and now have an AW 1M I like the black wheels on the black car more than I thought I would. Has anyone had a whirl at matching paint / powder coat on wheels with the color of the rear "diffuser" -- anthracite gray-ish? I like the color "flop" alot, but wonder if adding a third color to the car is the way to go?

Not really feeling it. I think it would look better if it were super high gloss black.

so that's the funny part, they're not black at all. they're more along the lines of "storm grey" or what i've seen called as "space grey". my iphone isn't really doing them justice at all. here are some pictures that are very similar to what's on the car, just with a bit of personality (the flop):
