Why so much cheaper than Schmiedmann? Does anyone have a more reasonable place to purchase from than Schmiedmann?

The only place I've found them is on eBay from German dealer. Still pricey but not nearly as much as Schmiedmann. I've been tempted a couple times, but just can't justify that cost on a purely cosmetic mod.

Hello All,

Unfortunately the ones that Ben has (BRS2120) are not adaptive. I would like to give him a shout out for a smooth transaction and for working with me!

Any other suggestions for a place to purchase? Thanks!

Sam

Personally, adaptive is overrated. I don't even turn them on and they will probably break early. If you're going for the Euro look, I would prefer without adaptive.

Just a thought.

You probably haven't coded the euro AHL settings, then. It's the best. And they don't really break lol

I would go for non AHL, for the sack of simplicity. And i think they look better.
For once i'm lucky to be in Europe as they are way cheaper over here.

Yeah I don?t know what the euro coding is for but I drove 1500 miles in Europe through germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Lichtenstein. Not much added value for me. I have also seen other guys having failures with adaptive part. So complexity to benefit not worth it to me. I leave them off now just pointing straight. Also most people drive 1Ms in daylight so again not sure why so much value on adaptive part. But that?s just my humble opinion.

Also I only say that because of the OP likes the euro lights he should go for it and not sweat adaptive headlights.

If you have any doubts watch LeMans or Daytona. Those guys are going 230 mph plus without adaptive lights. I’m sure you will be fine driving to the pizza store at night without them, Euro or US spec.

Just saying Y'all Muricans are getting ripped off because the various adaptive features we have over here in Yuroop are coded off on US cars. Even the newest cars; lots of threads over at f80post.

They're pretty helpful in tight corners like for example those in the Alps. Have had adaptive xenons on an e90 since 09, zero problems so far. I think most failures come from aftermarket AE bulbs or something.

Absolutely....! Yes, we get jipped of all many of the cool features...I'm with you on that one.

Hey, I saw these on BMW CCA Classifieds. If I really cared about the Euro clear, I would make the guy an offer on these in a hurry.

Best wishes.
