So i started a huge thing over at my old forum (nasioc) which is not known for being very friendly but i just posted the same bimmer mag article that i did here and those guys went nuts...

i love the part where the one guy says a g8 or a saturn redline is faster and better looking....so glad i got out of that crowd.

Anyways that all led to this guy on the boards posting a pic of a "auburn red" haha (ie our fav sedona red

) that arrived in the docks in nj...probably for an auto show....or show room/dealer.
Anyways the dates on the pic seem legit ...so check it out

Cool. People at Nasioc are retarded. G8/Ion better than 135i? Gimme a break. Not to mention they flame the 135i for looks when most of them are from a WRX background, the thing that looks like a kia from the back.

WRX performs well but I'm saying these guys have no room to complain about the 135i's looks when they're all fans of that ugly looking thing. Not to mention if you think a G8 will be able to keep up with a 135i with equal money into them, you don't deserve to even post on a "knowledgeable" forum like that one.

clubwrx.net is 10x better. at least they only complain about the price of the 135i.

I fail to see the comparison between the 1 and the G8 besides two cars with big engines. The G8 is a HUGE car. A better competitor is the M5 for its size.

You realize the G8GT starts 5k LESS than the 135i and god knows GM will have rebates. So w/ a $5k lead I think the G8 will keep up fine (Vortech kits are around 3-5k) So a 135i w/ say the 2k Dinan setup is 7k over the G8's price Thats more than enough for exhaust and S/C setup

I actually like the G8 a lot. I want to drive it when it comes in. Its a very very clean design and the fact you can get a 6spd manual about 6 months after launch is awesome.

I just wonder what the proposed G8 GPX will be packing. :biggrin:
