Tell me about it. He got potentially the second most powerful 135 in Australia and the best he can do is a 12.8 ET. I think he should've got an auto.

Nice time Vin!

Cracking that 11 second barrier is definitely tough on street tyres! Took me 3 trips to Willowbank before finally cracking it! 60ft is sufficient to get you there (mine was 1.857), but really need to increase the trap speed.

Drag radials or Race Fuel should see you there

Richard, I have no idea how you get your 60ft times! On the RE-11's if I rev it to what you do, it spins on the spot and all the way through 1st!

Don't think I will be out again until I get a set of drag rims, keep telling myself they arent needed though :P

16-18psi?? Maybe thats the key to the 60ft time.

Ive been dropping my tyre pressure to 30psi, didnt know I could go all the way down to 16! Might try low 20's next time I go out

My pressure was at 27Psi...

Michael, has to be the tyres. I think the highest i launched was about 2300rpm with no wheel spin. Sure pushed me back into my seat though!

Should give you potential for 1.6 short time. Will carve at least half a second off your ET with same power.
Thanks for the tips Kenny.

Not hard at all. It just takes patience and practice.

Thanks Michael. Yes if the traps were a bit higher, say 115-117mph I would already be there

I'll eventually get DR's as well but I'd like to run consistent 11s on street tyres. I think that's a pretty big achievement as there's not too many cars on the street that can do that.

2300rpm! In my car brake-boosting at 2300rpm = burnout!

Anyone thinking of heading down to WSID this week? Hopefully it doesn't rain again like last Wednesday.

I may just as a spectator. I'll race next week. I think we have a far bit of rain forecast for this week.

Me too, I'd love to give my car a run!

What time would i have to arrive and would it be better to just watch the first time?

Indeed I will. If it's not this week then definitely next week. Although technically mine is not BSM, It's jet black but I dont think anyone will notice the difference

I think you have to arrive anywhere between 5-7pm for scrutineering. It should tell you at http://www.wsid.com.au/ . I don't think you really have to watch the first time as it's not that complicated, but it's up to you.

There are some who argue that drag racing an automatic transmission 135 requires as much skill as watching Foxtel. But I have never said that. Instead I implore you to watch this video 1:50 to 1:58 to see one of the world's fastest 135s and marvel at the driver skill. The amount of control required. it is truly an awakening.

Totes. I hate that sort of "music" but I believe Joe had some mic issues and ended up with mostly unusable sound, so he added music. Not my choice of music though!
