Luk 03081 repeat 550i/335is clutch kit

Hey all. I’ve been digging around as I need a new flywheel and might as well do it all while I’m in there. I’m not willing to deal with the noise of the SM so I’m looking into the 335is and a new luk DM.

Rock auto has a 03081 kit but the picture shows a sprung hub. If I have a DM I’d rather not have a sprung hub as it seems overkill.

On eBay I saw a listing for 03081 and the pictures show a solid hub.

Just want to confirm from someone that has got the 03081 from rock auto that it’s a solid or sprung

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...lutch+kit,1993

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Manual-Tran...8AAOSw3utY5Rgb

Thanks

I haven't dealt with a clutch yet but I'm sure its in my future. Looks like ebay has the 03-081 listed with the sprung hub and unsprung hub. Might be better to contact them to be sure unless someone else has ordered one.

There was some old threads I bumped up with same question. Have it a few days before posting this but no go.

I’ll try to call rock auto I guess.

The 335is/550i clutch is unsprung, I would just call rock auto to verify they might just be using a generic pic for the clutch.

Apparently they have no customer service line to “keep cost low” lol. They do have good prices though!

I think I’ll just order it and return if needed.

I'm actually looking at the same kit on Rockauto for my 335i. Did the kit end up working out?

Haven’t installed it yet but it “looks” like the correct one.
