Talking I'm so freakin' excited I'll be taking Gravol tonight

To Sleep...

For those tht live vicariously through other owners here's the deal...

After nearly a 3 month order and wait, my brother and I take delivery of twin cars tomorrow in Vancouver. So for me, it is a 2.5 hour drive to Edmonton after work tonight to have a sleep in a Heavenly bed at the Westin. Flight leaves tomorrow am and I should be at the dealer by noon. Post delivery, my brother and I make the 10 hour drive through the Canadian Rocky Mountains back to Calgary. Twisty mountain highways, some beautiful straights....etc.

Saturday night I'll bunk at my brother's in Calgary and then drive 6 hours back to Lloyd. By then, I should know my girl well. I have my Ipod loaded with great tunes, a couple Audiobooks and a couple F1 podcasts.....guys/gals.......I'm freakin' pumped!

One quick question.....one of my teachers bought an 05 X5 4.4 from this same dealer after I referred....should I inquire about a finder's fee even though I got a great deal?

Hey congrats! Must feel great after such a long wait. Wow being able to drive your car through the Canadian Rockies right after delivery is awesome, be sure to take some photos for us....two E90's blasting through the mountains must make for some awesome photo opportunities

That's awesome JV! It never hurts to ask about the finders fee......worse they can say is NO! You should bring some two way radios with you so you can talk to your brother. Can't wait to see you guys at the Calgary meet sometime in September...?? Oh, and I bought some used M5 Replicas for my winter rims.......I'm pretty sure they are like the ones you have too......but these have the non rft on them.

You should, but maybe too late. Oh, which Vancouver dealer, maybe I should come down and witness the historic event.

BMW Store on Burrard...

We'll be there around 12...actually I am in the process of arranging a lift from YVR....don'tg you think the dealer should bring out a lift for two Alberta boys?

Congrats JVFan!

It's 16 hours to the dealership he bought it from (got a great deal in Vancouver). For service, he'll take it to a dealership in Edmonton, which is only 2.5 hrs away.

The drive through the Canadian Rockies is amazing! Probably a better trip than European Delivery, but only with speed limits

Should make for some wonderful pictures though!! Perhaps JVFan you can take it offroading at the Columbia Icefields (ok, maybe that's not what they mean by breaking-in the car)...

No doubt! Well the gravol worked...good tip for you soon to be parents...knocked me out but I was up at 4 and up to stay at 5! Got the camera so will post pics later this week. AS I old my wife on the phone last night..it has been a boyhood dream of mine to stare down at my own roundel on the steering wheel...get goosebumps even hinking about it.

Today's the day...I love to fly (planes are a passion for me besides cars....hhhhmmmm speed...I was German in my previous life and lived next door to the Nurburgring and commuted on the Autobahn...have a great day...I know I WILL!
