Stock 135 at Drivers Edge event - videos
These are all me, in the stock 1-er. Still on the stupid runflats, that REFUSE to wear out. I swear, they almost look like they picked up some rubber from the track.
This is probably the most interesting video I got this weekend. Lots of passing, but I was still learning a lot of the lines for the track. Video includes three Miatas, two Exiges, a Z3M, an old 911 (1981), a Corvette, a couple of 3-ers, and an Audi A3. Going off track, to avoid a spinning Z3M. That's a Laguna Seca Mustang we pass at the beginning, in case people are wondering how much driver skill matters, compared to the car's ability. For that matter, you should see my wife turn in lap times 3 seconds faster than mine, in our 148,000 mile e46 sedan. :-) Reeling in a modded Miata Miata goes off track Reeling a modded 330 back in

The track isn't too hard, but there are some tricky spots, plus the track was green, from all the recent rain. It was also pretty cold, so tires weren't warming up very quickly. I think the Z3M lifted, got a little loose, and got on the brakes, completely unsettling the rear end. I couldn't tell what happened to the Miata. I think he just came into that fairly steep downhill off-camber turn too hot.
I got two wheels off, avoiding the Z3M, and probably could have recovered, but I was off my line, and there were two more cars pretty close behind, so I just wanted to get out of harm's way.

Driver's Edge groups go from green (beginner) to blue, yellow and red (most advanced, other than instructors). I'm in blue, so there are still some fairly inexperienced drivers, myself included.

Good question. I'll see if I can edit the post, to make that happen.

Thanks. They're embedded now. They seem to play better the other way, though.

It performed great. It was 40-50 degrees out, so the real challenge was getting it warmed up. I basically let it idle for half the session, when the group before me was out there.
We ran an event in October, when it was considerably warmer (still not like August, though), and it kept cool then, too. Driver's Edge is a great organization. You really ought to try one of their events. It is amazing how well the run things. We've already signed up for three more events for this year, and we're looking at the calendar for more.
