extremely slow defroster...

hi everyone,

i am wondering if there is anything i can do about my super slow defroster on the rear window. it takes about 30 minutes for it to defrost, and it starts first around the sides of the window and not the middle - so it's really hard to see out the back window. I had a 328i loaner a couple weeks ago and the defroster cleared the whole rear window in under 3 minutes!

my car is still under warranty so i could take it in and see what they recommend. would they replace the whole back window? or can those defroster stripes be added somehow?

about 4 months ago i had a horrible window tinting experience at sunshield glass tinting in sherman oaks, CA. my boyfriend had to use a clothes steamer to remove all the glue off the rear window. could the high temperature of the steamer damage the defroster lines?

anyways, what should i do? thanks.
