I posted in the sticky but no one is replying. Anyways, I've got an eibach prokit coming, I have all 4 corners rolled. What is the widest and lowest offset I can go without a camber kit and a pull. TIA boys!

Why not simply get wheels with the correct offset? It's a performance parameter, defined by the car suspension and fenders.

You're going to want to get the suspension installed, settled and aligned, then do some measurements to see how much space YOUR car has. Cant beat numbers.

Lol seriously guys? There has got to be someone on here with a 128i with the same setup or close that can answer this. I'm not new to this, don't need to be talked to like a noob.

This isn't my first rodeo, I know a lot about specs and shit, but it is my first with a 1 series. With all that I've read, it seems I can fit a 9.5 in the rear with a +50 and a 255, but again, I'm not seeing if that is for a 128 or 135 or if they're even any different.

There's slot of vagueness around here, it needs to be separated into different posts/threads for the 128/135 so people know what they're looking at.

No one is talking to you like a "noob." Every car has a slightly different amount of space in there. Plus you have your fenders rolled, by some unknown amount, and are going to want to know how much extra you have once you have lowered your car. Plus, your car will not lower the same amount on the springs you are installing as they might, say, on mine. Manufacturers give a range for ride height change on springs for a reason.

What we're doing is assuming you want a functional car. If you do, especially if you're looking to maximize wheel and tire while minimizing offset, take the measurements.

I want it functional, but I want a nice stance. I've had so many cars that I've done this to, I lost count. It was all done by trial and error, I'm trying to eliminate the trial and error.

I'm looking for like and close specs so I don't have to do anymore messing around.

Are you going with custom wheels or an off the shelf type setup? If off the shelf, Apex wheels, Alufelgen, and VMR give the best offsets for the 1 series. If going custom install everything and measure to get exactly what you want

I'm thinking about VMR but I'm also thinking of going with Work. If I can find the right offsets with VMR as with Work, I'll probably go with Work.

I dig VMR, but you're talking about two completely different classes of wheel here with two completely different typical wheel sizing setups.

If you go with the 45 offset VMR mentioned in their post, you should be able to run 255s in the rear with no problem. You would *possibly* get a little rub in the rear when your springs compress but since you have a rolled fender (which I guess someone else mentioned) you should clear without an issue.

Oh 2 different classes without a doubt, but I'm not sure I could find those widths/offsets with Work. I would much rather have a set of Work.

I have some on my TL and I love them. I'd throw those on my 1 if they were the right bolt pattern and offset.

There are some Volk TE37s that can fit if you're looking for forged monoblocks. Of course they're not going to look like some VS-XX or anything like that but they're damn fine wheels.

First time poster here. I am looking at non RFT after my dunlops are done on my 2012 coupe m-135 MT, I am torn between the PSS 215/245 or the 225/255. I might lower my car later. But do the upsized offer that much advantage? Since michelins selling the correct sized tire now, is it really necessary, I was not that unhappy with the skittish OEM tires.

Modbargins stock SSRs in 5x120
Dinan make offset camber plates for ~$150
M3/TRW from arms are around ~$350
Camber is easy.

Regardless, try 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+45
If you're happy to work on the guards keep the same backspacing and work your way further out...

I've never seen any hard data. My amateur guess would be no. At a given pressure the contact patch is the same, it just has a slightly different shape (more sideways).

I think some here want to put on the very largest tire they possibly can. And then we have threads about tire rub. My personal style is a slightly smaller tire that will cause me no fit problems.

No tracking, I might try it later, but compound would matter more than size IMHO. The car is anyways too light in rear to use the extra rubber. I am probably going with the stock sizes in non rfts then.
