It depends. I like it really dark, to the point people can't see me in daylight. The downside is that I have to roll down my windows at night to see ( in my old car ). Another downside is getting a ticket for the tint. Sooo it's up to you ! Maybe just go with are slightly darker than legal tint for your area?

20% is a good compromise between dark and visibility during day/night time.
By the way, is 6N7W460 your tag number? Not that I care but I think the effect you used was not very effective in terms of blurring it lol I could be wrong though. |

My 135I came with 50% from previous owner but I always had 20% rear and 30% side windows, but my last car I had 20% all around . It depends on the Cops in your area. In CT they will nab you and just make you have them inspected, if to dark the DMV will make you peal them and re-inpsect. I've had to peal my windows on my VW's twice. It doesn't mater if there 20% or 30% with the factory tint it makes them illegal. The only legal choice is 50% In CT. IM going to go darker on my 135I. 50% is to light.

I went with 30% all around and am happy with it, not so dark that it affects night time visibility but dark enough to get the right look. I agree with the previous poster, if cops in your areas are looking to ticket for tint, 20% would probably draw their attention.
