window limits
hello everyone,
My passenger side window does not go up all the way when the door is closed, it looks like its about 1/8 inch from full closing when i compare it to the driver side. I found a reset procedure where it said hold the down switch 5 seconds and it will reset, but so far no success. The window still goes up and down when opening /closing the door but it just does not go up enough, and it makes wind noise when above 50 mph. Any help is appreciated. |

After you hold it down for 5 seconds, it still won't go all the way up till it hits the top?
Is the 1/8 gap even across the entire top seal? Perhaps the glass became loose in the regulator and has become uneven. Can you move the glass a lot using your hands? |

this is why I love this forum....the passenger side is actually loose, i can easy lift another 1/2 inch from the side that is the closest to the mirror. I compared it to the driver side, which is solid. Thank you so much RPSCO.

yes i did it yesterday. It is now 90% better. I can still hear the wind a little bit but i thinks thats due to slightly warn out door seals.

UPDATE: I was able to play around with the window adjustment a little bit, and now its super quite. There is absolutely no noise, even at 80mph.

I dont think you were doing the entire process with resetting the limits. The way i understood it, unless i was doing and extra step, was with the window up you hold the button down until its all the way down and continue for 5 seconds and then immediately do the same thing going up and hold for 5 seconds with the door closed. setting both bottom and top limits. I had to do that cause i'm smrt and yanked the door open with the battery unplugged. then it wouldn't go down that 1/4" and kept rubbing the top frame when i closed the door. sounds like you got it sorted either way and it wasn't your problem. Just putting info out there. good job finding it.
