I enjoy the technical back and forth, but have to raise my hand as another 1er who just simply likes the feel and involvement with the manual versus the simpler (and probably, quicker shifting) automatic. If it's all about dragging, then, you can boost the car and modify it for that purpose. For everyday driving fun, one either enjoys a manual or one does not. I do look forward to seeing some of the monster 1's some of you guys will end up building....I'm sure it's just a question of time.
