I have a local dyno my buddy goes to every once in a while. Next time he goes i'll get a baseline with my exhaust and intake, and then get an after once the DISA is installed, and then one last one once the evolve is installed. though i can promise it will be a long process and i wouldn't post about it until i've finished.

Absolutely. Whenever I hear someone talking about the FRS/BRZ twins, I always throw a used 128i in the mix.

I think a lot of people are jumping in that boat*, as prices for used examples become more attainable.

Plus, a lot of us are now out of warranty.

*and by boat I mean: the love of RWD, natural aspiration, and balance.

Just want to say I love halogen headlights.

Highbeam/DRL burnt out. I dug through my stash of bulbs from MK4 golf ( i had quite a few spares since I drove at night to and from Univ), found out they also used H7's. Found a bunch of H7 bulb's including three Philips H7's prob these ones http://www.usa.philips.com/c/car-lam...72vps2/prd/en/.

Meh. Xenons >>>> halogens. Much longer life, too, so you wouldn't have been in this situation to start with.

Installed the F30 brake dust shields today, they didn't require trimming at all. Used the old shield to mark the single new hole and drill pressed it. Other than that you just need to bend the shield slightly away from the steering arm bushing.

Clear shot of air from the front ducting of the dirty bumper down to the new shield:

Another angle:

And no problems at all when everything is bolted back up. Did a full lock left/right test and a drive around to block to make sure there was no rubbing. So far so good!

Not unless you want to keep your fog lights, the lower insert holds the entire housing together.

Son of a...

I bought the ducting that came with the front bumper but no vents or cut outs to retrofit into.

I have the 128i M sport bumper, which is different from the 135i bumper. I just modified it with 135i parts when I first got the car. I did have to fab up a custom aluminum bracket to add a mount point inside.

Wtf? Do the base bumpers have no ducting?

My 128i M Sport bumper has the same part number as the 135i bumper. I have fog lights where the 135i ducts go.

Yeah, they still are a bit different. I took out all that fog light junk and retrofitted the 135i non fog light ducting with the oil cooler ducting. Fog light enclosure does have brake ducting though on the MSport bumper.

Hi Mr "The Stig"

I have a 125i (128i) with complete M-Sport package

I`m planing of doing the same as you. Remove my fog lights in my M-Sport bumper.
What ducting parts did you use?

Is this correct?
- Air duct, engine oil cooler, front right Part No: 51748046326
- Air duct, closed, front left Part No: 51748046473
- Window gasket, left rear -M- Part No: 51118045921
- Window gasket, right rear -M- Part No: 51118045922

Is this all I need?

And will there be a problem/code issue when I remove the fog lights?

I did it close to two years ago, so I'm a little rusty. I do remember I had to fab up a bracket for the oil cooler ducting as the mounting points weren't all there in the 125/8i bumper.

You will throw a code for the fogs unless you have someone code them off, which I did.
