Battery cable connector recall

I got the letter today. Car is going in on Tuesday. We shall see..

It might be posted somewhere but here is the picture describing the issue.
It says that they will replace the connector to a new redesigned one and fix it with a bolt to reduce vibration.
The cable will be fixed with a bolt also.

Isn't the recall upto July 2011 models? Anyway, mine is also August 2011 and waiting to hear a confirmation for this also. I am sure I will not receive any letter whatsoever here instead I will need to wake them up myself. Just hoping that August cars are fine!

I got the recall letter today. But it doesn't say 1M. I did lease a 2009 135i in the past. So I don't know if this letter is for the 135i or 1M. Any one get that letter yet?

Just got the recall notice. Doesn't mention anything specific about the 1M other than "Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle" My 1M is 06/2011 production but I thought the 1M and M3 were not part of the recall...

Dealer is clueless as usual; guess I'll just have the connector replaced to be on the safe side; due for low-mileage service anyway...

I got the recall letter last Friday. The letter says it included cars built from 2007 - 2012, 1 series, 3 series and Z4. I contacted the Service Rep today and they looked up both my 07 335i and 1M. Only the 07 is listed for the recall, not the 1M.

My 1M is a July 2011 Build.

Got my letter week before last and confirmed with the dealer that my 1M is subject to the recall. Going in for fix next week.

Also, anyone from US&Canada whose car was 8/2011 or a later built?

I am trying to figure out if this is exclusively NA market recall and also if it is limited to 1Ms up to July/2011 built, or not.

didnt get one either shipmate so i think we are in the clear

No letter so far . . . Not sure of my build date, but I took delivery as soon as it hit the US in November '11, so maybe I am all set.

My AW 1M was built in Aug 2011, Sept delivery. I was just at the dealership and they checked and there was no recall on mine, they actually recalled my wife's 2012 328i for the cable issue and that's why I was at the dealer.

6/2011 build, got the letter. Before i could get it serviced, electrical system went berserk, flashing all sorts of failure messages. Took it in and had service recall performed. All better now!

I guess I better take mine. Rad doc, how long did it take? Did you have to reprogram your settings?

Not long, 1.5 hours including an oil change. No I didn't have to reprogram anything.
