The driveway...

The rates are ok but the workmanship is so-so... guy was drinking beer while taking his sweet time... So I decided to not pay him.

I think you must drink beer while detailing a car! Is it possible to do that job and not drink beer??? Are you mad.

No one I've trusted to leave the car with yet... not even BMW. Car comes back with half a tank gone, with only 3 KMs travelled. Uh oh. Don't want any trouble.

You left your car at a BMW dealership and 1/2 the tank of gas was stolen?

Yeah try AW, it's so easy, they are selfcleaning!

I just press the carwash button (what I renamed my engine on/off button) and it now selfwashes, including the rims, and even behind the spokes.

Wait, I am daydreaming again... sorry time for meds

Yes we can.

Do you have a good place that you trust and use? I don't even trust BMW to wash my car. They even said, that this is a fact of life, and even thought they "clean" their carwash brushes, they will put swirl marks on your car.

There must be detailing places (not carwashes) in Toronto that people trust their BMW to.

If you want some recommendations, you'll likely need to go to a busier regional forum. It doesn't have to be a BMW forum, just an enthousiast forum.

Or talk to some car clubs in your area...but it may depend on the group. It seems that most cars guys I have encountered prefer to do their own stuff.

In a gist... No, the 1 series is too 'new' to trust and leave with an unknown detailer... even at the dealer... just like you'd never valet her...
