Sirius installed! What if I don't code?

I purchased a Sirious receiver from a member here, and installed it in my 128i. After reconnecting the battery, the option was available on the radio display, and I could listen to the Sirius test channel.
I activated on my existing account, and have full service.

Now, I have not had any coding done. The car is a 2008 with Sirius prep, and it seems to work flawlessly.

Is there any consequence to not recoding to accomodate the Sirius function, if it all works fine as-is?

Nope, some cars do not require coding. You got lucky.
