Pic of my new 135i in the wild
We had some really nice weather on Saturday, so I took the opportunity to take the car out to some fun local back roads and stretch her legs for the first time since I bought her a week and a half ago.
I just had the walnut blasting done. I'm pretty sure that at 101,000km (~60k miles) it had never been done before. I haven't put many miles on since I bought it, so I didn't have much baseline, but it definitely idles more smoothly, pickup at low throttle is smoother, and my gut feel is that fuel economy is a bit better, too. It was great fun blasting around, but I am starting to understand the M3 subframe bushing mod. On smooth pavement the car is beautifully composed, but when you hit bumps or choppy pavement mid-corner the car bounces around like college kids listening to the Proclaimers' 500 Miles.
