TK Racing BMW 135R

Quote:
From http://www.autoguide.com/gallery/gal...acing/bmw135r/

Even though BMW‘s 1-Series hasn’t caught on like we expected, there’s no denying how much fun it is to drive and how formidable it is as a race-prepped track vehicle. The 135i in particular, equipped with the N54 twin-turbo powerplant, or the new N55 single turbo powerplant, makes for a fun and nimble car to maneuver around on any race course. Recently, several time attack teams have turned towards BMW’s 1-Series chassis as their weapon of choice – such as Berk Technology - and now we’re able to take a look at Japanese tuner TK Square’s variant.

TK Square’s racing division is rightfully named TK Racing and they call their E82 their Lubross 135R. TK Square is well known for tuning several different BMW models (from 1-Series to 5-Series) and actively participate in the BMW and Euro Cup out in Japan.

What’s really killer on their 135R is the widebody that they’ve applied to it that gives plenty of clearance for their wheel and tire setup. Along with the widebody is a 3D Design front lip spoiler and a wickedly functional rear spoiler. It looks like the car puts out around 400-hp, which is a fairly painless task with the N54.

How the upcoming 1M will stack up against these tuned and built 135is, we’re not quite sure. We’ll just have to wait and see the 1M’s powerplant’s potential.

Looks great! Almost looks like they just tried to make the best looking track car they could. I guess that's the 3D lip and hood?

Nice looking car but you think they would have been able to at least fix the seatbelt chime?

This is what I'd like to find under my Christmas tree . . . on second thought maybe outside with a big bow on top. Wife might faint seeing this in our living room and I have no idea how I'd get this down four stories, lol!

I think the 1er would like him to put his seatbelt on, lol. I'm surprised they haven't fitted the emulator to stop it. The video is awesome though Thank you for posting this.
