Stock Wheels w/Drop 275/30 ft 295/30 rear

I know there are a tone of these but none with this specific setup, I've been though them all, seems most people that go this wide are stock height.

I have KWv3's with a 1.5cm drop all around.

The 275/30 and 295/30 PSS are pretty much the same rolling diameter as the stock rubber. This is on the stock 19" which on TireRacks site show they are with-in the tolerances of the wheel width.

Has anyone done this setup without spacers?

According to that experience, it doesn't look like an easy or straightforward job to fit 275/30 tires (RE-11s in that case) on stock front wheels without using spacers (he recommends 5mm.), or maybe without a camber mod instead of/in addition to spacers. Both PSS and RE-11 seem to be larger than usual tires, to be kept in mind!

There are a few people who did 295/30 on stock rear wheels, some reported minor rubbing mostly on certain bumps, loaded car/compression situations and some said zero issues. None that I remember was with a lowered suspension though. Most were with PSS tires.

So, other than not being super ideal size (but doable) for our stock wheels, those tire sizes are as close to stock diameter and stagger as it gets and there are plenty of M3 guys who has nothing but good things to say about that particular combo, with PSS.

I will definitely try some set up other than the stock (basically for scientific curiosity purposes, not because I had problems with stock size) when my current tires get cooked, this might well be that alternative. Won't happen very soon though.

You will need the 5mm spacer in the front but not the rear.

What about playing with camber? Do you think it would help as well or spacers are a must?

Also, should this apply equally for stock ride height cars too?

I would imagine the spacer is not for fender clearance (spacing the wheel out would not help with this as it has the opposite effect)

Only thing I can imagine the spacer is for is to allow for more suspension clearance. if this isnt the reason, I am not certain why a 5mm spacer would be needed

Spacer is just to get the tire off the strut. Fender is not an issue with this car

Good to know, thanks guys. I myself is leaning more and more to "conservative" upgrade of 255/35 fr and 275/35 re PSS for my next set on the stock wheels.

I have 275/35 rears right now. Havent upgraded the front to 255 pss yet because I'm waitingon my new fender liners to come in. They just got approved to change under warranty a couple of days ago!

I'm running 275/35/18 R888's all around with 5mm spacer for the fronts.

I decided to not go so extreme for my DD's - 265/30 front and 275/35 rear, would have went 285 rear but TireRack didn't have them in stock for another weak and I'm down in the states on vacation right now and its allot cheaper to get them here and have them mounted before going back up North.
Just have to find a place in Chatham, Cape Cod to get them mounted LOL

Yes they do, in 30 or 35.

Well I can say for sure 275's will not fit, the 265's are very close to rubbing but work.

That is correct but I think he means 18" sizes.

Ya your right it was only 35's but that is the correct size to keep the diameter the same as stock. So my 275/35's are not quite the same diameter.
