2009 Armrest as opposed to 2008 Armrest
So I was at my local BMW showroom today and I opened up the armrest in a 2009 1er convertible and it had one open space! It didn't have all those little useless compartments in it.
Can anyone tell me how I can get this into my car? Can I change the inside piece? Do I need to order an entirely new one? Part numbers would help whichever way it has to be.

Not sure if you need to buy the whole armrest or not, but you might find this useful when you do change it out.

My 09 has the open space. The one annoying part of it is that it's just smooth hard plastic in there, so things slide around. Apparently BMW couldn't afford the $.05 it would have cost to put a thin rubber mat inside the armrest. I'm going to try and fabricate something myself.
