Red face Bluetooth question

Has any of you guys paired a Samsung Galaxy S2 with your 128i vert. I have the premium package. If so how do you go about doing it, I'm a newbie so please excuse me.

Well I've only paired my iPhone and my mothers droid but it should pretty much be the same procedure for any smart phone. Go to your settings then Bluetooth. Make your device discoverable then the car should recognize it. Select pair then it will want you to input a pass code. Whatever you make it type it the same in both the car and on the phone. I usually use 0000. Bam you're connected. If you meant specifically like what menu you go to on a galaxy phone for Bluetooth options then I apologize. Never have messed with one if those but in general that's the procedure you need to do

I have a S3 and it pairs without problems on the Professional Head Unit.

On your SII:
  • Turn BT on on your system settings in Android
  • Check the box to make the phone discoverable
On your BMW:
  • Hit the Phone Key on your steering wheel
  • Your headunit will show something like "Please pair Telephone in BT menu"
  • Hit the button under PAIR

Now back to the S2:
  • At this point your S2 will prompt you for a pairing request, it will show up as "BMWXXXX"
  • Accept the pairing request on the S2
And back to the BMW:
  • Now the display on the BMW Head unit changed ... hit the ADD button
  • On the head unit type in a 4 digit security PIN. Hit OK
  • The head unit will show "Bluetooth pairing active"
And back to the S2:
  • No look at your S2 and enter the same PIN you entered in your head unit and push OK/Pair
  • The head unit will tell you when the pairing process will be completed. When you see the message hit OK.

Now you can use your SII for BT phone calls. The head unit will take a few minutes to upload your phone book. The pairing will not support BT audio streaming unless you have a iDrive system ... but with that the steps above would not apply anyway.

To place a call, hit the phone button on the steering wheel.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for all your help guys, but i tried that and it did not work... after i put on my phones Bluetooth and made my phone discoverable then hit the Phone Key on my steering wheel nothing happens!!! nothing comes up on my radio. There is no "Please pair Telephone in BT menu" as a matter of fact i have not seen anything related to Bluetooth on my radio.

Try long press of the phone button on steering wheel or on the dash

Ok. Stupid question. Are you sure you have BT in your car. Doesn't sound like it.
