Cp-e making movessss custom turbo kits on the wayy!!
So I emailed cpe looking to see if they have thought about a custom twin turbo kit for the n54 motor, seeing that cpe is a great and reliable company I decided to go with them bc they are also on the east coast close to nj, I have a 135i right now and am probably not gunna do the turbo kit on.this car but once I get my 1m this summer I told them I will definately be comming in heres the info they gave me. Hopefully they can get this done soon
-right on time! Im currently working on a twin turbo upgrade for these N54 vehicles.. we have a 335xi in the shop I need to get done for SEMA with a target of 1000hp –also trying to throw it into the texas mile and see how it does. Twin cast manifolds, Tial Turbos and etc. Will have a few stages of upgrades for various applications. We already have as block out for assessment, sleeving and pistons. Head will go under the cutter soon too. J So big stuff planned for this car. Im looking to get this done asap –there are a lot of Mags and various media waiting on this. Hopefully by end of summer we can throw something on your car as well J Last edited by M///1rider; 04-26-2011 at 07:57 AM.. Reason: Messed up text b4 |

I orginally had a power goal of around 500 wheel like the rb turbo kits for my new 1m but it seems like cpe will be having various packages that could be higher then 500 whp/tq

oh ok, now i understand it better
the sleeves are for the CP-E car which is targeting 1000hp, makes more sense. for a goal of 500 is a bit of an overkill IMO |

Overkill just means it's a more durable engine can't wait to see the results, it's about time someone decided to do this. It really wouldn't be complicated to put larger turbos onto the stock manifolds for someone with a welder and fabrication skills....

Sleeves..... Why the heck would they need sleeves, these aren't weak ass Honda blocks which cant take an overbore without cracking.... are they? Shit, I thought the blocks a lot stronger than that. And yes, I know they said 1000hp, this is coming from comparison to many 4 cyl engines I have known to be from 800+ without the use of sleeves.
Just seem strange ~ my experience wouldn't dictate it needed. wonder how much they are going to open up the head. Hopefully they can get around 30cfm gains... that would be sweet with a serdi valve job thrown in. |

well he gave me a price around 6k for a kit but im guessing their will be cheaper kits that will just be turbo upgrades. 6k im guessing if for manifolds turbos maybe fuel management etc.

this will be a great kit i no it !!! especially working closely with cp-e for tuning etc i can easily get a 500whp that will still be a daily driver and in a 1m it will be great. All i know is till the new turbo'ed m3 comes out the 1m will rule the market, especially with that lsd putting down 500 to the wheels. Low 11's? high 10's?
i wanna c that 1000whp 335xi tho omg lol |

$6000 is a bargain... if the kit is all inclusive. But you are most assured that all the "bolt on" supporting mods are going to be a must to get top performance out of the kit, so throw in a few more Ks on that $6K.

Oh yeah??? and I have a VIP pass to the playboy mansion these kinds of threads honestly disgust me...have seen a ton of them over the past while and nothing but pure BS in the end...people being teased, just slows development and overall progress of the platform as it gets the tuners into this state of mind that there 50-100whp enhancements don't mean much anymore...
I call 110% BS on this, sorry, not saying you're lying or anything, no disrespect... |

I'd love to see a single twin-scroll GTX 3076 or 3582 kit for this motor. Twins is cool, but I wonder if it will truly offer a better performance envelope than a single twinscroll that is properly sized and matches two smaller turbos.
