i was having a ton of misfires mainly under WOT and carbon cleaning fixed it.

it seems the #1 cause for misfires is carbon build up in this motor. find a local place that does walnut blasting.

Garage List
2010 135i Coupe  [5.26]
They cleaned mine under warranty but my car only had about 18k on the clock. It was actually the main factor in me turning the car in at lease-end.

my car with 44K miles started stuttering at WOT, then threw misfire codes (Procede tune with DCI) and after new plugs and swapping coils around, the same holes misfired and the dealer finally performed the walnut shell valve cleaning and problem solved.

I've since installed the Burger oil catch can which helps a bit with this issue.

400-1300 including new gaskets and labor. The price depends on if it's a 'guy in a garage', and indy shop, or dealer.

i took it to some local dudes in dallas, ultimate bimmer service, they charged 500 and changed some oil gaskets at the same time, since the manifold was off. the gaskets were another 100 or so

I will agree 100% with KingOfJericho . It sound like you have carbon build up on your valves. The intake on these cars are actually easy to remove . At the dealer they use a high pressure carbon cleaning kit that cleans the valves using ground up walnut shells. I have seen a set before and after and let me tell you they look brand new when there done!
