Alright fellow 1 owners. Mine is on order and should be here the end of the month.. wooo!

First, I have to sell my current car. So I'll beg you all to spread the word of a 2005 STi for sale. Details are on my personal site http://baetens.com/sti

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The time is getting closer, I dont want to be sitting on the STi when the 135i comes in!

I spotted a black 128i in the parking lot of the plaza in the south west corner of Orchard Lake and 14 mile today. Fun, fun - I will pick up my 128i on Monday. The dealer fumbled the loan so I will go to the credit union tomorrow. I wanted to pick it up tomorrow, but the CA said there would be no manager there on Sat. to sign off on the car so I would have to wait. Needless to say, I am not at all pleased. Apparently it is too much bother to take my money on Saturday!! - sucked a tiny bit of joy out of the car for me.

UGH! What a pain in the ass! I'd call up and throw a fit and tell them that you either want the car to drive for the weekend or some free stuff for the hassle! A CF spoiler on Montego Blue would look pretty sharp... :biggrin:

So today a 72 454 Vette decides to take off from a 30 roll....I rolled out on him BAD...REAL BAD. On the second run I had to hold back a little so I could see the look on his face.

It was a beautiful orange convert though.

Nice run. There aren't a whole lot of muscle cars that are "fast" by today's standards, but there are a few that could lay a beating to our 1ers.

I've have liked to see the run... both for the flogging that you handed him and because the '72s were sharp cars.

I'm looking for a few suggestions on places to eat for our August 2nd gathering...

Feel free to post here or PM me. I'm thinking someplace along Woodward would be cool or something that could allow us to jump on 75 and get back to Royal Oak pretty quickly.

Also, HERE (and below) is where the parking lot is that we'll be taking over that night. Be sure to bring some cash for coffee (or other iced drink) as the cops will kick us out if they're in a bad mood and we're not "customers."

There is a Pot Belly sandwich shop in that strip as well as 2 dozen other places less than 2 blocks in either direction.

Yep! I picked her up today and have been driving ever since. What a great car - and the Premium stereo upgrade was worth every penny! The only reason I am home now is that I can't think of anywhere else to drive it!

And yes, Premium Hi-Fi is worth every cent... I questioned it at first, but upon hearing it in Shawn's car I quickly found out what a phenomenal system it is and made sure to order it.

I'm finally done with a four month bussiness trip and can't wait to pick up my 1er this comming wendsday and drive it back in Michigan where I grew up for a few weeks! Can anyone recommend some great roads to drive? I grew up/have family in the Midland/Manistee/Traverse City Areas.
