BMW Extended Warranty prices

I got a list from my dealer (Classic BMW in Plano, TX) of MSRP for the extended warranty program. I would like to get the 7/70,000 gold warranty, which is listed at $3140 for my 135i. I'm wondering if anybody has had any luck at getting a warranty cheaper from other dealers. Do the dealers have to see the car in person to issue the warranty? My car turns 4 at the beginning of May, and is currently at around 35k miles. So I'm well within the limits of purchasing that warranty, and the dealer has the car at the moment for some routine maintenance so they should have the current mileage in their records. So does anybody know if other dealers, like United BMW perhaps, offer good deals on the warranty?

You just need to shop around to find a dealer willing to discount. I purchased a 6 yr/100K Gold package for $2,550.

I certainly can do that, and will, I just wanted to know if anyone else had any luck, and where I might start looking. One thing I'm wondering is if I can go out of state, or will the dealership need to check my car's mileage in person or anything like that. Also, considering there's so many dealerships, I was hoping for some referrals.

I received a quote from Rick Hendrick BMW in Charleston, SC. The gold package 7/70 extended warranty is $2900.

Wow that's great, I may have to call them and try to get the same deal if the group buy isn't any cheaper!

I just got my 08 128i non-cpo from BMW of Beverly Hills. The sales manager told me his cost to get 6/100,000 warranty is around $2,100 and i can get it at that price if i want.

Is the extended warranty worth the cost? I'm at 37k miles and am debating purchasing an extended warranty.
