*Parking lot hit and run* Driver side headlight

Q1:

My car was hit and run by someone in a parking lot yesterday and my drivers side headlight housing (clear cover) is very scratched up and my front bumper is not recoverable, is it possible to get a replacement for the clear cover or am I looking at buying a new headlight?

Q2:

If I do need to buy a new headlight, can I buy the non-adaptive version of the headlight to save half the coin?

Q3:

When I buy a 1M style front bumper, which version would you suggest, Original 1M Bumper , or The fitted 135i front bumper? I will be getting it professionally installed and painted either way.

Thanks!

1 - My guess is you'll need a completely new headlight unit.
2 - You'll need the adaptive headlight if you already have AHL option. Not only does the headlight look different, but you'll lose the AHL function in one of your headlights if you decide to go non-AHL.
3 - Get a bumper that fits the regular E82 body.

Why not just call your insurance? That's what it's for.

My other car, a Suzuki SUV, was hit in a parking lot a couple years ago and they didn't leave a note. I didn't notice until the next day, it was dark outside. I called the insurance and they said I could make a claim without it changing my rates so I did. I paid the body shop to take care of a few other small dings at the same time.

Because my deductible is $1000, a new bumper painted and headlight would be at par with the what i would pay my insurance, and I come out with a better bumper.

I'll be purchasing the 1m fitted bumper next pay and since then he headlight still works just scratched up pretty bad ill sace up and get the euro style non-ahl headlights.

You will need the entire headlight assembly. You will not be able to mix and match headlights- the replacement must be the same model as the existing light. You will need to go with a fitted 135 bumper. The 1m bumper will not work without modification beyond what's needed to fix your existing bumper. Whether you go with a stock 135 bumper or go with an aftermarket 1m replica is your (or your insurance company's) call.

If they simply cut you a check, you can always find replacement headlight housings out there and then have it coded yourself to properly work with your vehicle. The bumper itself is pretty easy to replace if you want to purchase it with the funds and then have it painted.

Eutopean LCI headlights ( with AHL if you have it) are your best choice.
Ebay has singles of USA spec headlights.

For fornt bumper. Fitted. I actually prefer BMW Performance front over 1m look. I have seen both in person
