I got mine for 500 below msrp. But it's up to you since it's only 250 difference. If you like the SA, then stay with them. Makes your life easier when you have to go in for service.

If you tell them you will pay 40k out the door than you should be able to get that, it isn't a huge discount off msrp, and it isn't a first allocation car so it shouldn't really go for msrp in my opinion.

This is the only way the dealer can calculate the sales tax. Fees levied by the dealer are taxed, fees levied by the state are not. By the way, 45 bucks sounds like a very reasonable Doc fee. I've seen doc fees 7 times that much. |

I think you have wiggle room and I think it should be easy to get it down to 40k out the door.
Im looking to negotiate 39k out the door with leather, ZSP, and HD radio. |

Not sure when you would get it, just ask the dealer what allocation you would be ordering on and a projected delivery date. I have heard many ordering and expecting late April/May delivery.

1500 over invoice using invoice prices for all the options/accessories? That is an awesome deal.. Really not sure how one would approach this in Southern California... Am I wrong to assume you placed your order early on?

if you are concerned, i'd just send your dealer an email asking for the out-the-door price ... you'll either like it and have it in writing or you can start negotiating from there.

I would just pay the doc fee and License/registration up front out of pocket, then total amount financed would be $39,948 with the numbers they gave. If you dont like that price I would just wait a few weeks and sure as I'm sitting here they'll be sending you emails with sweeter deals.
Man, that sales tax is brutal. Us Oregonians are spoiled! |

That's nothing.
In B.C. we pay 5% Federal Tax and 10% Provincial (State) Tax. The normal Provincial rate is 7% but we get hit with 3% Luxury Tax once we hit $55,000. Ouch. |

It's worth a shot. Tell the SA something like, "Man, I was hoping I could get this under $40k. If the number starts with a 3 I'll have a much easier time selling my wife on the idea..."
If he can't, enh, no big deal-- you were willing to pay the $40,300ish. But if he's got a little wiggle room, you may as well try for it. |
