Nigel @ Quality Auto Refinishing in Revesby , has 15 years experience painting wheels, working for Simmons Racing wheels, before going on his own..

Woosh, what colour are ur wheels? Were the tyres off for this to be done?

Joe, your wheels look ace. Sounds like the tyres had to come off. How long did Nigel take?

Im thinking of ditching the matte finish and going for gloss black or gloss gunmetal/ferric. I do have my original wheels to use if the tyres need to come off.

Hi mate.. Yep, the tyres deffinately have to come off or Nigel wont touch them..
He had them for 3 days..

Very, very professional finish.. Whilst I was there, a Simmons Wheels truck was there picking up finished wheels that he still helps them with.

for the price of painting, i'd prefer to just buy another set of rims and swap them every so often, you know like undies monthly sounds about right

I thought about that too- but for a price of new rims and good tyres, we're nudging $2K. This will be less than $400 if I go with Woosh's painter or a little bit more with Joe's. Albeit I keep the same style wheel.

Use an image uploading service like tinypic.com and past the 'url direct link' in here using the image uploader in advanced options.

Edit: scale down the pic to 800x600 or 1024x768

Sorry I didn't get a notification for your earlier post. The colour was Metallic Bronze and required the wheels to be brought in without the tyres on. Turn around time was under 2 days. Company is called Mr Kleen, located in Padstow.

I figured I'm only going to use the wheels for a year, then sell it. Hence why I didn't care much for longevity of paint qaulity (mind you I only had one or two small paint chips when I sold them).
