2008 135i A/T HP/Torque Limit
What is the Torque/HP Limit the Stock Automatic Transmission can handle.....
I have the strongest Level 10 Valve Body...... But was wondering what would be about maxed out for a daily driver? If there is already a thread for this somewhere please post link thanks~! |

I still really haven't got a clear answer on this either however i believe the Stock AT begins to break down around the 500tq+ mark.

Anyone heard of any Steptronics breaking point? I believe the record for stock housing turbos is 11.1 on a A/T, Im running 11.6 right now. But have just upgraded the fuel system with Stage 3 kit and PI kit. I am trying to beat the record.... But a little hesitant since I am on an A/T

About 480-500 seems to be the breaking point
It's the same trans as the e9x 335i, the GA16HP19Z Some people have pushed it beyond that & been fine but others have issues in that area. Rumor has it that the Alpina Flash actually helps the transmission stay more sturdy. It's only a rumor but the rougher, quicker shifts wouldn't be as bad on the converter, in theory |
