Miro 111 / VMR 710 Need advise
So im looking into purchasing some new wheels for the summer. I have narrowed it down to either Miro 111 or VMR 710's. After talking with some of their representatives ive been getting mis matched info regarding the fitment of the wheels.
For the Miro 111 it says the fitment of; 18x8.5 ET35 FRONT 18x9.5 ET45 REAR will fit a stock 135i with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 tires But after some research a 35 offset will poke and not fit the fenders ? With the VMR ive been told that their recommended fitment is; 18x8.5 ET45 FRONT 18x9.5 ET45 REAR some of their representative say that a 255 tire wont fit while some do. Can someone who has purchased either set of wheels give me some guidance on what will fit. thanks, |

From my understanding VMR is extremely conservative with what they will say fits. They tend to only recommend close to OEM fitments. I can't say I blame them. It keeps annoying customers away who complain about things not fitting properly.

I'd assume Miro is recommending et35 because that's all they have. I think for an 8.5" front, et 42 is perfect but it actually can depend on if using stock struts or not. Et45 would be within a mm or two from most strut setups but might rub require a small spacer on others. Et35 will likely need some camber added to not poke/hit the fender. We don't have much room on either side up front once you go up to 8.5" wheels.

Alright, thanks guys. After doing some more research i guess the VMR V810 are really the only rim with that style that can fit our cars properly and even give you the adjustablility to run a 265 and 235 without rubbing.

The ET35 will be too aggressive on the 1 Series. The ET45 front and ET45 rear will be flush, although we recommend a 245 rear tire. With the V810's ET58 rear, you can run a 265 rear tire, although a 235 front may require some modification. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me!
