+eleventy billion. This is my biggest concern with the 1-Series (that and the electric power steering). That hasn't stopped me from putting down a deposit on one, but it's a concern nonetheless.

We all know BMW does this to keep the 1-Series out of the M3's hair, which is a weak move on BMW's part.:bs:

Super weak. They give the MINI Cooper S an optional LSD...

And I ordered it on our MCS. Actually, the MINI's electric steering is pretty good in Sport mode

Same with me. At least the LSD can be added aftermarket, but not much can be done about the steering if it's disappointing...

I have no complains regarding the electronic steering. I used to have an 03' Z4 2.5i SMG. The steering was very responsive, lots of feedback and it was very precise. The feeling was enhanced when in "sport" mode with a heavier but still light feel. I have read some reviews in European mags regarding this "newly improved" electronic steering which is now standard on the new 1 series hatch and they actually like it. I remember BMW Car mag making a big deal about it but saying that buyers should have no worries, giving the thumbs up to the electronic steering.

Now "Adaptive Electronic Steering" is a different story it sucks. Hopefully everyone will stay away from that option which will be available on the 135i and 128i here in the US.

the front shots on the 1 next the the M3 make me want to pretend I didn't see that. The 135i will be a bigger bang for the buck, but make no mistake, the M3 will turn more heads, ect...The new M3 is incredible, Carbon fiber roof - BMW continues to push the envelope and we reap the rewards. Yea capitalism!

I kinda like the 1-series interior, the dashboard seems a little driver oriented, which is why I liked the E46 cars so much. For me the plain, straight forward dashboard on the E90/E92 cars is just boring.
