Matte VS Carbon blackout grilles on AW - anyone have pics?
If you have an AW with matte or carbon fiber blackout grilles and a good pic of it, could you please post a pic?
I'm trying to decide which to go with... Carbon looks nice in small pics on vendors' sites, but I wonder if it will be "too much" on the car and in person. |

why is everybody so obsessed with carbon fiber?
it only looks sick if it is real carbon fiber and is there for its sole purpose: to be lightweight and strong. carbon fiber grilles, stickers, roof wraps/vinyls, emblems, and all that bullshit is just ridiculous. save yourself some time and money, as well as embarrassment, and just get a black grille.

But I have to agree seeing that I also find carbon fiber grills unappealing. Go for matte black or if you have shadow line trim get the BMW performance grills that will match it.

Body Color for sure
Check with Cyba, he sold me a set a body color grills(Lemans blue) for my new 135, they look way better than the matte's I had on the 335, I wish I would have done that back then. Check his postings under teh commercial sales, he had AW grills pictured there on the first page I think.

I would do the matte black look unless you have the carbon theme on the front of the car. I like matte as it gives the car some contrast, here is a shot on my 135:

Ok. Can't go wrong with matte so that's what I'll do (and save $100 too)...
New question, any pics of AW white color matched grilles? Body color matched looks good with some colors, but I'm not sure about AW, would love to see pics if anyone has some. |

I have the black grilles on my AW and it looks very clean. Love the black on white.

Go with the mattes man, i agree with some of the other posters above. CF is good when its real, and its helping shave weight; save yourself some cash. Unless of course you have other CF components.
