I actually feel sorry for whoever bought that car. If it was the Black Sapphire/Corel Interior model that they were using as a demo.
I gave it a good wringing out on my test drive, as well Im sure others did. It was next to impossible to keep the car under 4000rpm.

I tried to go easy on it,..but every time I looked @ the Tach, it was shooting up past 4500 rpm and I had to back off the throttle.

I dealt w/ Augie up there, and he was great. Class act,..very professional. I think he was limited by Keelers (The dealership) lack of willingness to "deal" so....
Ultimately I bought the car from Cap cities since they offered me 2% off MSRP right off the bat plus a handful of other "extras" (Mats, free inspections, 10% off parts and service, free BMW loaners)
It's too bad cause I would have preferred to getit from Keeler since they are much closer to my home.

Kind of off topic but I was in Albany 2 years ago for a Grand Am car show. It was the most fun I've had in New York. Lovely little city!

I test drove the same one @ Keeler. I would steer clear of any Black Saphire/Coral Red that are on dealer lots, that seems to be the standard color combo for the demo cars.

Hey KnightPS,...800 number just said My car is in transit. Did yours make it to the port in time to catch the same boat?

DOH!, Sorry to hear that man.

Was hopin our 2 "local" cars might be sharing the boat ride. Looks like 2 weeks on the boat,..then hopefully 1 week after that I'll get it!

I'm going to be in Albany from August 14th through the 18th. Every year there is a huge Pontiac Grand Am show up there. So if anyone wants to meet up/take pictures let me know!
