Custom Calibrated Stage 2+ 1M vs OTS Map

This past weekend a customer brought us his gorgeous stage 2+ 2011 1M for custom tuning. After strapping the car down and installing a set of Forge diverter valves, we smoke tested the new intercooler system and discovered a small boost leak due to an improperly installed coupler. After the boost leak was resolved we went ahead with getting some baseline figures with the stock map and Cobb OTS map. The 1M has CPE catted downpipes, modified mid-pipes and bigger front mount intercooler already installed. The stock map put down 339whp and 393wtq with all of the modifications already installed. The Cobb OTS map put down 345whp and 406wtq. After some carful custom calibration we were able to make a healthy 371whp and 434wtq! This particular gained 26whp and 28wtq over the Cobb OTS map.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Nice gain in the overall power curve. How much room do you guys leave for safe daily tunes? What I am asking is do you take it to the max power wise and then back off some and that is it?

Thanks.

We always ensure that the cars will be safe before they leave the shop and build the maps to be dynamic taking into account changing variables. We monitor all critical engine parameters and make sure nothing exceeds what we feel comfortable with. It wouldn't be good for the car owner or us to have something go wrong so we make sure that won't happen.

We are comparing the Cobb Stage 1 aggressive map to our Stage 2 and the stock calibration. There cars are pretty stout from the factory, but there are still gains to be had as Cobb always leaves some head room.
